Councillor David McGuinness
Councillor David McGuinness is delighted to welcome the reopening of the Clonsilla road to two-way traffic. The small stretch of road outside Molloy’s Off-Licence has been one way for some time now. Residents in Clonsilla and the wider Blanchardstown community have been complaining about this and, from today Wednesday 4th August, the Clonsilla road will finally return to two-way traffic.
This project was not a certainty. Fingal County Councillors were presented with a Budget for 2010 at the start of the year. Some parties were not prepared to support this Budget and it seemed destined for defeat. However, Councillor David McGuinness agreed to support the budget and received commitments on a number of projects that he felt should been prioritised. Clonsilla Road reopening to two-way traffic was one of these priorities.
Please see below the circular sent out from Fingal County Council. Please ensure that you contact to keep him informed of the roll out of this section of road to address issues should they arise.
