Dublin 15 locals have come together to help send baby Alannah to China for treatment to allow her to see. On a facebook page set up to in her aid, a quote attributed to Alannah says
‘Hi, I’m Alannah. I’m 11 months old. When I was 4 months I was diagnosed as having ONH, (Optic Nerve Hypoplasis) which means Im blind. My Mammy & Daddy are trying to raise money to bring me to China, with hope that treatment there could help my sight.’

Alannah’s family hope to use the most modern medical stem-cell treatment in China to allow baby Alannah to see. Tonight, Friday 23rd July 2010, hosts a fundraising event in St. Peregrines GAA club at 8.30pm. Tickets are available for 10 euro per person and spot prizes will be available on the night.
